Frequently asked questions
Where are your ceramics made?
All work is handmade with care by Elaine Johanson at the Black Hound Clay Studio in Philadelphia, a shared studio space for ceramic artists. While some of the work is finished at the Black Hound Clay Studio, much of it is glaze fired in the wood kilns at the Chester Springs Studio in Yellow Springs, PA or at the Community Arts Center in Wallingford, PA.
Are your ceramics food safe?
All items are made with lead-free glazes. Items intended to be used to hold food or drink are made food-safe glazes and can be microwaved and washed in the dishwasher. That said, please handle these handmade ceramics with care.
What is the return policy?
All sales are final. That said, please let me know if you are dissatisfied with your purchase.
If an item or items are damaged in transit, please send a photo of the damaged work and packaging within seven days of receipt. If damages are verified, you will receive a refund or replacement.
